The Rochambeau Rebels season will run from August through March.
National Championship Winning Coaching & Choreography Team
The Rochambeau Rebels will be providing multi-year National Championship winning coaches with decades of combined cheerleading and choreography experience. This award winning team have attended YCADA National Conferences for numerous years and understand how to help every to child shine. Our coaches provide a fun and comfortable space for cheerleaders and their families in which to grow and seize every opportunity. Choreography is done by in-house experts who personally get to know your child and can showcase their unique talents, ensuring that every cheerleader gets a turn in the spotlight!
Safe, Personalized Instruction
Our experienced coaches are dedicated to helping cheerleaders improve their skills and reach their full potential. With personalized attention and tailored choreography, athletes of all skill levels will have a home with the Rochambeau Rebels. That means that our choreography will be customized to highight and accomodate the skills of each unique cheerleader as well as a personal understanding of every athlete's ablities. Our coaches all have background checks and extensive training including CPR, first aid and concussion training.
World Class Opportunities
Joining the Rochambeau Rebels opens up a world of exciting opportunities to hone your athletic abilities, connect with like-minded athletes, and compete in world-class YCADA sanctioned events. The Rochambeau Rebels are recognized by YCADA, (Youth Cheer and Dance Alliance) which is a national non-profit organization that provides universal governance of Youth Cheer and Dance skill levels, scoring and educational guidelines. We will offer the incredible opportunity for cheerleaders to experience professionally run competitions with all of the glitz and glam elevated competitions offer. Practices
Practices will be held at Southbury Parks and Recreation at 561 Main Street South in Southbury, Connecticut. Practices will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The younger squad will practice from 5:30 - 7pm. The older squad will practice from 7 - 8:30pm. Squads will be determined based on registrations.
Upcoming Events
Mark your calendars! We already have some exciting events to pencil in for future Rochambeau Rebels! Participation in these events is a ton of fun but not mandatory. We hope you can join us!
Wednesday, March 19th: Rebels will be helping Parks and Rec prep the eggs for the annual town egg hunt (Beyond the Bow activity)
Saturday, April 12th: Team Up to Clean Up hosted by Southbury Land Trust and the Southbury Conservation Commission. 1pm to 3pm. Meet at Southbury Town Hall. (Beyond the Bow activity)
Saturday, May 17th: Southbury's Art in the Park at Ballantine; Rebels will have a cheer themed craft for kids visiting the park! 11am-1pm. Southbury Town Hall, lower level. (Beyond the Bow activity)
Monday, May 26th 2025: Southbury Memorial Day Parade
Sunday, July 6th 2025: Bottle & Can collection with Sustainable Southbury. We are very grateful to Sustainable Southbury for this opportunity as the proceeds will be benefiting the Rochambeau Rebels! We are also excited to be collecting the weekend of Independence Day so please ask friends and family to save those cans! 800 Main St S. 12-2pm

Registration Information
We understand that youth sports can really add up. We are incredibly grateful to be working alongside Southbury Parks and Rec to offer an affordable yet professional program for all youth cheerleaders in the community.
Uniforms are included! The only attire costs to families are shoes and shorts for under the skirts (total cost is $50 or less).
While we have worked hard to keep costs low, we understand that registration fees can still be difficult. Families who may need financial assistance can connect directly with Southbury Social Services to see if assistance is available. This is completely confidential and the Rebels coaching team will never be made aware. Southbury Social Services can be reached at socialservices@southbury-ct.gov.
